Seismic Risk Analysis and Definition of Site Specific Seismic Requirements

Development of seismic risk analysis for specific sites where important structures will be built or upgraded, like Tailing Dams, Hydroelectric Power Plants, Thermo-electric Power Plants, Mining Complexes, etc.

As part of the development of the seismic specifications for industrial projects the level of earthquake actions and additional requirements to be used in different types of structures / systems / components and for the qualification of equipment have been studied and developed for different levels of expected performance under earthquake action. This has included both the definition of the earthquake design spectra, the importance coefficients, and the response reduction coefficients for different structural configurations (for example: foundation–structure– equipment systems, soil–foundation–structure systems, and normal structures).
